COVID-19 Orders:
States and provinces that have Identified Auto Parts Suppliers as Essential Businesses
Many states and provinces have issued stay-at-home orders or similar orders which require certain businesses to cease operations for a period of time to combat COVID-19. Most of these orders contain provisions which allow certain businesses to continue to operate (businesses which are allowed to continue to operate are often referred to as Essential Businesses, Life-Sustaining Businesses, or other similar designations).
Below are the states which have issued such orders and which seem to indicate that auto parts suppliers may continue operating (along with links to orders and/or other guidance provided by such states). The following is not legal advice and is provided for informational or reference purposes only. Many states are issuing additional orders and guidance fairly regularly and, as a result, the following information may be incomplete. Furthermore, many local governments are also issuing orders and/or guidance which you should also consider.
Each business should make its own determination as to whether it can or should remain open, and should contact an attorney and/or the appropriate state or local agencies if it has questions about whether it can continue operating under the various orders which may apply to its business location.
