
The ARA Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote education through the awarding of scholarships annually to students on the basis of academic achievement.
If one of your employees has a child who would like to apply who has not applied previously, download the application HERE or request an application.
Renewing applicants should download the renewal form HERE.
The due date for new and renewing applications (for those who have received a previous scholarship) is March 15 each year.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Requirements for first-time applicants:
- Be enrolled as a high school senior, and/or plan to continue or pursue a full-time post high school program in a college, university, or accredited school providing trade, business or technical programs.
- College/University applicants must have achieved at least a 3.0 grade point average, or the equivalent, in their previous educational program. Accredited Trade, Business or Technical School Program applicants must have achieved at least a 2.0 grade point average, or equivalent, in their previous educational program.
- Requirements for renewal applicants:
- Renewal applicants for College/University must have achieved at least a 2.75 grade point average, or the equivalent, in their previous educational program.
- Renewal applicants for Accredited Trade, Business or Technical School must have achieved at least a 1.75 grade point average, or equivalent, in their previous educational program.
- A parent must be a current employee of a Licensed Direct/Branch Recycler Member of ARA with a hire date at least one year prior to March 15 of the application year.

The ARA Scholarship Foundation, Inc. provides a rare opportunity to give something from your business that can directly reward your employee, and his or her family. At the same time, you contribute to the growth and development of our youth. Your support of the ARA Scholarship Foundation does exactly that. We appreciate all of you who generously contributed to this effort.
The ARA Scholarship Foundation, a non-profit organization, promotes higher education through the awarding of scholarships based on scholastic achievement. The funds are available only to ARA members’ employee’s children for post-high school educational pursuits.
Scholarships are funded through contributions from people like you, who care about the future of our children. Each year, the Foundation awards approximately $30,000 - $50,000 to over 40 deserving students (depending on money raised by the Foundation in a given year).
HOW CAN YOU HELP? Please consider a tax-deductible donation in any amount or a named scholarship to honor a person of your choice, with a $1,000 donation for one year. For a $10,000 donation, a permanent scholarship may be named. Contributions may be made
by cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, or American Express.
