EPA Rulemaking Extentions
U.S. House Democrats are requesting that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) extend comment periods on all its rulemakings during the coronavirus outbreak. According to a letter to EPA by over 70 Democrat Member of Congress they stated that “There are several EPA regulations that directly impact the environment and human health for which the review process has continued without sufficient opportunity for the public to engage during the coronavirus pandemic…” Amongst the many proposed rules are the new stormwater regulations whose comments are due by May 1. ARA is closely monitoring this issue.
